Encompass/Ellie Mae 1098 Filing Solution

1099 Pro provides 2 solutions for yout 1098 filing. The appropriate software package is determined by two criteria: 1) will you be printing and mailing forms yourself or will you outsource this to 1099 Pro; 2) how many forms will you be filing.

• Service Bureau will only file electronically with the IRS (electronic filing is required if over 250 1098’s). You will print & mail your statements in January. Purchase security envelopes (double windowed, imprinted "Important Tax Return Document Enclosed" $11/100) and laser perf paper (optional) $58/500 sheets. Print to blank stock, combined print option (download 1098 combined, 21k, PDF).^*

• Less Than 250 Forms
  You will print, mail & paper file your 1098's with the IRS in-house. Print & mail your statements in January. Print to blank stock, combined print option (download 1098 combined, 21k, PDF). Also purchase red Copy A IRS forms $8/100 for transmitting to the IRS.^*

  You will print, mail & electronically file. Requires a Transmitter Control Code from the IRS. Print & mail your statements in January.
