After running your report from Encompass, you will proof the data in your report using Excel. From Excel,
you will save your report to a text (.txt) file so you can import your data into your 1099 Pro software.
Proof your data in Excel
- Your data total will show in the ‘Table’ tab. Verify that the number
of loans, the totals, the individual line detail are OK.
- If OK then click on the ‘Data’ tab shown in yellow below.

Save a copy of your Excel file as a .txt file:
- Click on File, Save As, Save Type As Text (Tab Delimited .txt), Save. If possible save the
file somewhere on your hard drive where you will be able to browse to the file at a later time.
- Click on OK to the popup indicating that the selected file type does not support multiple worksheets.
- Click on Yes that certain features may not be supported
- At this point you’ve saved a copy of the Excel file for import to 1099 Pro. Exit Excel
without saving again
