Perform the following steps to import your 1098 data into your 1099 Pro software:

- Open 1099 Pro and select:
- The Filer to import to (Company importing the forms)
- The Form Type to import to e.g. 1098
- Click on "Utilities" at the top of the screen
- Select the first choice "Run the Import Wizard" and then click on the
button "Begin a new Delimited Import Process".
- The Wizard will guide you thru the import. When prompted for the file to
import click on the "Browse" button to find the .txt file you save earlier. At
the screen below you can use the "Map by Name" button in the lower left:

- After clicking the "Map by Name" button above continue to follow the Wizard.
- You do not have to view your import report at this time.
- When prompted to view your newly import files say yes and try double clicking on your
individual 1098's to see your data. Note that any form with an asterisk next to its status
e.g. "*pending" means that 1099 Pro has detected some sort of error with the form
such as a missing TIN, bad zip code, etc.
